Really nice view at the lookout. But be informed before you drive up there. Most of the road is very rockey and off course ascending as you go up. You should not be surprised if it blow the tyre. Keep tyre pressure lower than usual. There is 10 km off road drive like that. Definitely can’t drive with a sedan, can do with SUV but would be much better with a proper 4wd. Although No big pot holes or too big rocks on the road.

   Read moreThe drive was ok. Over rough gravel road. A Holden station wagon would have made it to the top, but we were cautious. It had already crossed the worst. Rain would have made it impassable. Unfortunately, no rain for a sun parched land. The walk to the lookout was even managed by a wheelchair, with three Burley blokes manoeuvring! The view from the top of the stairs was limited.    Read moreShort route to the lookout was closed, had to find the back way there (towards the camp sites). Sign said 4WD recommended, but it hadn't rained in a while, so crossed my fingers and drove up in a 2WD Kia Sportage. There were a few squirrelly spots with steep hill and rocks, but easy drive for the most part.
Took maybe 25 minutes on the trail from the main road, but WOW was it worth it! ...
