I've stayed at this park for both work stays and leisure several times. I've stayed in a number of different cabins now, from the standard, past the executive, and all the way to the queen executive cabin. As far as the location is concerned, absolutely pearler! It's just on the outskirts of the main part of town and enjoys waterfront views. There are definitely worse views to enjoy your morning cuppa, the park is in an excellent spot with trails on either side of the park to explore with the family. It has its own private jetty for fishing, and its own boat launch! It's only a couple minutes drive from the esplanade and town, making it easy peasy to enjoy the beautiful food and drink the town has to offer.
As far as the cabins are concerned, they are neat, not stinky at all, and present very well. Never had an issue with air conditioning or with heating, and the furniture is fine for the most part. My 4 star review for the rooms is only because the mattresses within the cabins can be a little hit and miss, or so I've found. I've stayed in about 5 different cabins, and two of them had mattresses which affected my back immediately. Most recently, I stayed in a queen cabin and one of the mattresses really affected my upper back and neck. Thankfully the other queen mattress in the cabin was perfect, but if I didn't have a choice that could have been very uncomfortable. However, that is my only gripe; and I can't comment on the quality of all the mattresses in all the cabins. Only from my own experiences. I will say that I do have a bad back though, so I am sensitive to a good or bad mattress. Everything else was fine!!! The standard cabin is fine for a single person. It can sleep up to 6 people, but I wouldn't choose that for a family stay. The executive cabins are far more spacious and would be far more comfortable for 2-6 people. The queen executive had excellent furnishings, a good size smart tv, a very nice and spacious shower, and two decent size bedrooms. My partner and I were very comfortable, particularly after we switched mattresses lol.
The caravan side of the park is big, and is where you'll find the parks recreational features. I haven't really explored that part of the park funnily enough, but I did peer over and see the communal area quite busy one evening with people chatting and enjoying themselves. It looks like a great vibe on that side of the park!
I would definitely recommend this park for your stay. Don't put too much stock into my mattress gripes, my other work mates never complained about them, excluding one who stayed in the same standard cabin I did one time earlier. I may have just found the bad ones out of bad luck lol. The staff are excellent and accommodating, and have always been helpful to me. I would stay there again!

Read moreThis caravan park can only be described as 'fine'
The location is 'fine' The sites are 'fine' The view is actually pretty decent, but that's where it ends.
In the 2 days we've been here (midweek, half our stay), the amenities have yet to be cleaned, and judging by the state of them, they haven't had a decent clean in years.
There is a literal lake of piss in the male toilets due to a plumbing issue. The stalls are falling apart and a decent number don't have locks or latches.
It's almost like the additional amenity blocks are locked up most of the year, waiting for peak times, only to be opened with the bare minimum of effort (unlock the doors and turn on the lights), but this doesn't explain the main or 'newer' of the 3 amenity blocks being in the same condition.
The sites are a bit pokey in places due mainly to the terrain, which makes levelling vans difficult, with one van we saw requiring literal rocks under it to get it level.
There is a reasonably new pool, but with all things considered, I can't help but feel this money could have been better spent on some basic maintenance of the core facilities, with swimming duties taken care of by the 'beach'
All in all, I couldn't recommend anyone actually books this park without a fully self contained van (one where you know it will be cleaned) when there is plenty of campgrounds in the surrounding national parks where you could have a shower standing...
Read morePre booked 2 night stay. Powered site, 2 adults October. Very hilly park, some have been levelled for drive through. Some properly terraced, others are questionable. We couldn’t level on 94, 14 foot van, car in 4 WD to get up the ridge and jockey wheel couldn’t get low enough despite a few positional changes. Site 92 we drove in down hill and reversed to get close to level, low range again to push back over the edge of the site. Narrow roads between the rows of sites are also unhelpful. Campers on next row up were also quick to tell us of their issues on this hillside. Park management need to get a bobcat or similar and get these sites level, smooth access and have safety at the forefront. First time we have had to engage low range in a van park. The park has a new pool area and camp kitchen together with a row of ensuite slab sites, unfortunately they have ancient amenities (block 3) which should have taken priority. Circa 1984. Clean showers cubicles, free of grimy looking grout and tiles and sufficient room to get dried and dressed is so much more important than a pool. The park does offer spectacular views over Boston Bay and has great staff, it just needs to get the basics right. Sites and showers are...
