My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights during the Jacaranda festival in Grafton. I liked it right near the Clarence River but my husband want happy about the distance and the road out to the park. It took us 22 minutes to get into Grafton on long country roads with no street lights and he said he wouldn't drive them at night in case he missed the turnoff. Also it wasn't until we arrived at the park that we found we had to use bottled water to drink. They did have some tanks around the park but imy husband still boiled it first as he didn't trust it. They should tell you when you book so you can buy some and bring with you. They do supply some bottle but not enough so you need to buy more. We were passing through and needed to stay 1 night (working as furniture removalist) doing a drop off 3 hrs from home so travelled with the dog, 2 places local to this place would not have us due to the fact that they both wanted us to book 2 nights which we couldnt , so rang big river, the lady was outstanding saying there's no way she'd have us staying in the truck and welcomed us even though we only needed the one night. The place was amazing, cabins lovely, heaps of ground for the dog to run, and the view.....just wow! So accommodating that we've decided to make this place our next getaway! If you want views, peace, time away from the mobiles which is only 10 mins from main town Grafton come here you'll not be...

Firstly the lady in the office - the dark short haired one has NO PEOPLE SKILLS made us feel like leaving - fancy being asked 'Do we know the people we are visiting'. Secondly she was RUDE - if l spoke to my guest/visitors at my park - l would not blame them for going elsewhere. Thirdly - a vistors entry fee $5.00 pp - l have never ever heard of any other camping ground or holiday park having such a fee. The only thing that would attact me as a holiday maker to this place is the river - yes it is a clean and tidy spot what l could see - BUT - the lady in the office needs to go as she is definitely the one that will turn away business - YOU GO ON HOLIDAYS TO GET AWAY FROM THOSE...
