*Don't go on the dodgy 4wd rd that Google sends you to. Keep going until you hit a small bridge and park there* lovely locals have sign posted it. The last photos show beautiful the water is. One of my favourite swimming holes in Australia. We went in June and the water was very cold but crystal clear and absolutely worth the hike. I was surprised to find white sand that led into the water. It's absolutely stunning. We went with 4 kids under 10, three of them managed the walk, 2yr old ended up in a carrier but she made the walk to the first pool. There is no path. You find it by following the water, it took us 30min. It's tough in areas, depending on your skills. I found having to climb up and around some very large rocks difficult without help but the agile kids loved it! When you climb over the last rock and see the water you will be so chuffed you made the journey. Take a towel and a picnic and soak it up. Photos do not do this place justice.

The Scouts Falls trail in Sherwood Nature Reserve is a bit tricky to find since it’s not signposted, but it’s well worth the effort. From Glenreagh, it’s just a short 10-minute drive. Park near the bridge over Middle Creek, then follow the path upstream for about 10 to 15 minutes. Be prepared for little boulder scrambling and narrow creek banks, so wear sturdy footwear. In some sections, the path turns into a wall of boulders, so take your time. After passing the first smaller waterfall, you’ll reach the “main waterfall” spot for a refreshing dip. We even took a second swim on the way back. It’s a hidden gem that offers a real sense of adventure and a chance to connect with nature. Definitely worth a visit!

Google maps led me up a dangerous dirt 4x4 track and well me and my Mrs came a long way and got up a couple hills and I lost control while the car was flying backwards zigzagged and nearly went off a cliff but the bar hit a tree and car has issues now, never got to see the main waterfall but saw the ponds and walked through to another one.. I did however find the big waterfall on my drone that I nearly lost, never saw it in person though, Still traumatised from a near death but google wanted my review.. Thanks for the directions buds!
