Butterly Hill is a small, home owned, 🦋 breeding centre. You can pay $8.50 each for a tour and fantastic explanation of the butterfly hutch (greenhouse? area?) from the owner.

You will learn all about the various host plants of many native butterflies, and many facts about keeping butterflies, all while surrounded with a swirling kaleidoscope of 🦋's zooming all around you.

Butterfly hill also sells a large number of nectar plants for feeding butterflies, and host plants to help encourage butterflies to lay eggs in your garden.

If possible, come on a hot day because butterflies are cold blooded and become energetic and fly around as the day becomes hotter.

They also have a few different stick insects.

If you love butterflies, I highly recommend visiting. It truely is beautiful to be surrounded by so many colourful butterflies. Thanks so much to the business owner, and I wish you the best of luck for running such a unique and...

We had a magical time visiting Butterfly Hill for the first time this avo. Laid back, relaxed, super chill. The lady who breeds the butterflies was so warm and welcoming. We loved her passion for butterflies (and the stick insects are dope as) . She’s a beautiful soul and she has a magical little spot. Welcoming, informative…. We soaked up the vibes for an hour or so before heading to the pub. Great couples activity…

From the girl in the blue dress and the man with...

5🦋/5🦋 Five Butterflies out of 5 Butterflies! What a beautiful experience to stand amongst these elegant creatures. The tour was insightful and interesting to learn about the different species and their importance. Very exciting to have butterflies willingly fly so close and land on you!

The gift shop was lovely and has the option to buy preserved framed butterflies, jewellery and other gift ideas!

The owner was lovely and informative! Would recommend this place...

This was a wonderful place to learn about Butterflies and their life cycle along with what plants and flowers attract different species. The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable. It's wheelchair accessible and so is the gift shop. There is also the opportunity to buy plants for your own garden. Would definately go back in the warmer months when they have even more butterflies fluttering about.
