My wife and I visited here on 15 March 2022. We were very impressed with the whole operation. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who explained the process for sampling their products, and escorted us to our chosen table. The furniture was mostly natural timber and the premises were light and airy. We were offered 2 free samples each from a menu on the table. The spirits could be enjoyed with or without a mixer. We both enjoyed our choices. Then we selected a couple of drinks from the drinks menu. They were very reasonably priced, and there was even a mid strength session ale on tap. I tried one and enjoyed it. The beer is produced in Brisbane, unlike all of the spirits and liqueurs which are made on premises. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience, enhanced very much by the great, friendly service. We bought a couple of bottles to enjoy at home. These were also reasonably priced. We would highly recommend a visit if...
Read moreOur rating was not for the tour or the tasting. Both were fantastic. Rick was passionate about his business, knowledgeable and informative and Kylie seemed onboard. However when we arrived the young fellow, we later found out he was the son, seemed inconvenienced by our entry into their shop. After the tour, again fantastic, and tasting we went to the shop to buy some of the products we sampled. We had 3 bottles of gin and were looking at 2 bottles of rum. When the son walked in we congratulated him on his Gin Lunar, as during the tour we learned it was his creation, he just grunted at us. The signs in the shop said 3 Cane Farmers for $200 or 2 for $130. We chose 2 for $130 and then were told that the Cane Farmers we chose were not included in the deal. A bit confused and feeling but off by the grunt and signage we put back one bottle of gin and walked out with just 2 . Again a great tour by Rick but he needs the rest of the team to...
Read moreWe are travelling around QLD for 4 months, and a couple of weeks ago when we were looking ahead, we saw this tour, and as it was complimentary, it was an easy decision to book the tour. On arrival we had a look around. The tour round the plant was great. Very informative and we learnt a lot. We also had previously gone on the tour of the sugar shed in Sarina where some materials are sourced, so we have now seen the full cycle of production. Then the tastings at the end which were also good. We tried some very different drinks which were lovely. The Lunar room is also impressive. Finally had a nice chat with Rick the owner and learnt even more. We’re a bit cautious about buying bottles as we still have a few weeks to go before we arrive home in our van, so we were happy that we also found out that we should be able to purchase product in our home state. Great. So all in all it was a good day and would recommend it...
