Tambo River Tourist Park — Local services in Swan Reach

Booked a family cabin and owners seemed friendly on arrival. Opened up the cabin to be greeted by big black spiders and webs everywhere. We went looking for the bug spray and gave the place a good spray. Told the owners who came and sprayed, swept away webs with brooms. They offered to change the bedding (didn’t click until after we checked out but, haven’t you changed the bedding already??) disgusting!! Checked under bedding for spiders and found thick clumps of dust. Double disgusting!!!Especially considering the COVID-19 situation. We slept horribly as did out 2 kids as they were freaking out about spiders all night. Booked elsewhere that night for the rest of our trip and checked out in the morning. Husband and I broke out in a painful itchy rash not long after our stay. Confirmed later we had been bitten by dust mites!!!! Would not recommend staying here in...

Nice small park. Good centralized base to explore the Gippsland lakes. Mostly cabin accomodation with powered sites and small number of unpowered sites. Stayed in unpowered site which had luscious green grass. Was positioned too close to highway unfortunately so had road noise and street lights affecting quality of sleep. Both camp kitchen and recreation room require an upgrade. However was really well priced with the unpowered site costing only $35.00 per night for a...
