If you have a deep appreciation for viewing a snapshot in time for colonial history, then Belgenny Farm has this by the truckload. Belgenny Farm has buildings and structures that date back to the very early 1800s, courtesy of the Macarthur families' pioneering interest, and what can only be described visually as 'formed from a strong will to tame an unfamiliar environment into a prosperous and successful farming estate.' With intent earnest the Macarthur's strove to achieve what, at the time, must have been trials under very testing circumstances for those who laboured to make the Macarthur vision a reality. Every hand hewn log harvested, shaped, and fitted to create mortised post and rail fencing divide the working landscape for containing historical Merino sheep of significance and defines areas including Grapevines and the ancillary Farm buildings. For me, it was a visit with an extra historical significance. A strong desire to walk the ground, my fourth great grandfather with his brothers and families walked. They were the Prussian Vinedressers from the Rhinegau region (now absorbed into German republic) contracted to bring the first Riesling cuttings to Australian shores and assist the Macarthur's in developing a fledgling wine industry. I have read copies of letters written from my ancestors to their distant relatives back home, very appreciative of Macarthur's endeavours to build the cottages that housed their families and provided the favourable conditions they found themselves in. Belgenny Farm allows me to see, touch, and inhale the very real toils of the past and appreciate all that has been wonderfully preserved in the...

My daughter and her husband were married at Belgenny Farm Friday 19th April, 2024. After the service, which was under a 200 yo oak tree on the property, canapes and drinks were served. We also hired a historian to give talks about the rich history of the farm for a very small fee. The reception was held in the barn which is absolutely beautiful, rich in old world charm. We were lucky to have access the day before to set up our decorations and arrangements. Even though we hindered Perry and Eric with their setting of the tables, they were so accommodating. Really lovely, friendly men. On the day of the reception, the staff were amazing. Petah, who is also in the office, is the chef. All dishes served were of the highest standard and so delicious. On the night, Perry served our meals and Eric was the barman. Along with Petah, We can't thank you enough for making our daughters and her new husband's wedding an absolutely beautiful and memorable night. All of our guests loved the venue and spoke highly of the staff and meals served. An Aunty of my husband's commented that she would love for her grandchildren to be married there someday. We have also had quite a few guests tell us that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to and commented on the intamacy of it. I am certain that these comments were largely the result of the staff at Belgenny Farm and the stunning place that the farm is. We can't thank you enough. We highly recommend that anyone thinking of having their wedding there, do so. You certainly won't be...

Had my wedding here in January. Loved the venue, food and service on the day.

However - the coordination staff completely stuffed us around with the booking. They did not ask us to confirm the final numbers, and instead went ahead and billed us for the estimated number of guests I had told them when I made the initial booking 1 year before the wedding. We ended up paying 2500 dollars for food we never saw!!

I am sure they do this to people on a regular basis.

It would not have been difficult for them to call us to ask for final confirmation of guest numbers and dietary requirements. instead they referred us to the contract which has a 2 week notice period. very disappointing since they had been great up until this incident. They could easily have cancelled the extra food they ordered and given us our money back.

Another thing was that they were very unclear about exactly what time we had access in the morning, and what time we had to pick items up the day after. I got a different answer every time I asked.

Also - make sure to ask them to turn the lights off at the end of the night when you are dancing. it was way too light. I asked them to dim the lights twice but it was still very light.

staff were great on the night and if you can sort out and beware of these issues I had I am sure you can have a...

I cannot thank Belgenny Farm and the amazing people enough. We had our wedding there on 2nd April and it was everything we imagined and more. It has a beautiful rustic feel, with old buildings and greenery everywhere. We were originally meant to get married in May 2020 but obviously COVID stopped that. But with the help from Emma and Rachel, we planned and changed things and made it the perfect day regardless of the date. All the staff are just so lovely and really could not thank them enough for everything!! We got married at the Creamery for anyone interested.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed attending the open day at Belgenny Farm. The historic setting and ambience were exceptional, and it was evident that attendees were having an enjoyable time together. The event was affordably priced, which is beneficial for larger families. There was ample parking available, and a wide variety of food stalls to choose from. The demonstrations provided were both impressive and educational. We look forward to returning next year.
