I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Jack has just spent 10 days at Calabash while we have been packing and moving. We have been able to see what he is up to via Facebook posts and can see that he is having a jolly good time. He has humans to pat him and doggy mates to run with. What about fun poolside or a bushwalk, then returning to a/c comfort?Jack is always thrilled to arrive at Calabash’s door and can’t wait for the fun and games to start. It is equally wonderful for him to be thrilled to see us at pick up time. All staff members know exactly who he is and give him wonderful care. I know jack is safe, happy and being well cared for. Thank you Linda for all the doggy advice over the years. Your words of wisdom are much appreciated. Words to others- don’t go elsewhere, you’ll be disappointed.

Our spoodle now knows the word Calabash and is in a state of absolute excitement. We know that when Jack is at Calabash he is well cared for. It appears he plays non stop from his arrival. He sleeps all the way home. Whenever we say calabash the tail wags and he is ready to go. We are a little offended when he leaves us without even a look back. All we can say is fun fun fun for our dog. We are always greater by Linda who knows who we are and knows our Jack. We have 100% confidence in the calabash team.

A further review from May 2017. Jack has just spent two days with Linda and the team at Calabash while we were away fro a birthday celebration. Linda even sent a photo and a birthday greeting! As always Jack has come home and is happy and well. The diet he is fed at Calabash agrees with him. He has been to another place where it takes a couple of days for his stomach to settle back into its old rhythm. So obviously the Calabash diet is high quality and does not impact on his digestive system. I know that when Jack is in Linda's care he is supervised and well cared for. It is with complete confidence that I recommend Calabash Kennels and Cattery to anyone who has a pampered dog or cat.

April 2018 Is there any way you can give more stars than 5 because Calabash deserves them. Jack loves his time at the kennel. We are now feeling comfortable to leave him for a longer period of time to travel as we know he will be cared for. Jack loves his walks and Scentworks. Linda really knows Jack and has seen him grow and develop. Going to Calabash has assisted Jack to grow into a happy, confident and well behaved young spoodle. It really is the other home for our boy. Wow!! Calabash Kennels and Cattery looked after our furry family member for 2 months. We were filled with guilt for the whole two months leaving our beloved pet behind for so long, but Calabash Kennels and Cattery and their exceptional care and dedication put our minds at ease during our time away. The consistent photos on Facebook gave us immeasurable delight to see our pet out and about on his walks looking healthy and happy. We appreciate the reliability and professionalism throughout the entire pet-sitting period. From ensuring that our pet's feeding and exercise routine was maintained to keeping us updated with regular photos and verbal messages. Calabash Kennels and Cattery went above and beyond to provide the best possible care. We thank the entire team. We understand that Dani went above and beyond, we appreciate and love all the staff that work at Calabash Kennels and Cattery including the kind people in the office that reassured us with constant updates and information. Everyone had a role to play in our superb care of Flash. The only thing that kept us happy is that we knew we provided the best care in Australia for our furry family member Flash when we were away. Even though Flash cannot speak he showed us in non verbal ways when he was returned to us that he was well looked after. He came back home on the first day and he was true to his authentic self which I'm so grateful for. That's proof to me that Flash was looked after by Calabash Kennels and Cattery as if he was their own. I wouldn't even dream of leaving my pet with anyone else. We have been clients of Calabash for close to 20 years and our three dogs and cat in that time all experienced the wonderful world of Calabash. We have a new family member now who stayed for his first visit a week or so ago. We suspect that he really didn't want to come home when we picked him up...!! We can't speak highly enough of the environment, the wonderful ,caring staff all led by Linda. It is a difficult call to make , but if there is any better boarding facility anywhere else, it would be a surprise. Happy to highly recommend Calabash anytime.. UPDATE: Further to our experience a couple of months ago, Billy the Parsons Russell terrier, has just had another 5 days of luxury at Calabash. He absolutely loves the place and the caring staff and we expect that he can't wait till his next visit. Thanks again to Linda and her great team.

Update from May 2025 Stay.. Billy our Parsons Russell Terrier has just had a two week stay at Calabash and as usual I think he was sad when the stay ended. As usual the staff at Calabash are outstanding, particularly the team at the Retreat. Billy has fairly strict dietary requirements and the team again are so caring and careful with the process . As I have said previously on this site, we have been Calabash customers for over 20 years and quite a few animals in that time. We cannot speak highly enough of Linda's team, lead by Georgia.
