I recently lost my husband and we chose a great site in mid January. Close to a water tap. After the burial, we were horrified and extremely upset over the disrespect of people to find that they drove over his grave a few days later. We made a complaint and gave evidence and photos of cars parked on my husband grave to the office. We were assured that something would be done and their usual blah blah blah and some sort of barrier put up. Nothing was done. We decided then to go to the extra length of now buying top quality soil and quality grass which my son did on his own and maintained the site as to stop people from driving over the top of the Grave. Imagine our next disappointment when opening the tap to find that the water was off! Again after a few phone calls and a visit to the office it's finally working but the pressure of the water is non existant. I feel like once Invocare received the money, there is no after care at all. We also got the excuses of we are short of staff, oh the plumber is coming this afternoon etc, etc. My husband was fanatical about his lawn and we are so disappointed that there is no aftercare from Forest Lawn and making us having to carry heavy watering cans to water the lawn. If I could, I would give them a zero star for Maintenance. There are a couple of graves in the same row that have sunk so much, more than 30 cms and they are still like that. Read moreOnce upon a time this cemetery was kept beautifully, grass was mowed weekly and headstones neatly trimmed. Then it had new owners take over and it has been a downhill slide ever since. Majority of this cemetery is in a terrible state now and it means do the upkeep yourself because no one else will. When we laid our love ones to rest here we thought their gravesites would be maintained and they were at first but the management now has little respect for the condition of the grounds, particularly the older sections. Very disappointing. …. 6 months later and it’s getting worse, no maintenance whatsoever and decayed flowers left on the gravesites. Added a few photos to prove my disappointment. Update: 1/1/23 Well today, NYD we visited again and was pleasantly surprised to see the grass mown the gravesites all neatly trimmed and everything looking as it should. Read moreI don't give 1 star I give zero! My parents paid 70k to be in a crept, when my father passed away July 2021 it's been nothing but a drama ever since. Still waiting on the glass to be put on his crept they had previously told me that they needed to find another company. After months and months waiting I found one myself that would do it. I asked for the money back that was paid to have the glass done but funnily enough they found a company the next day. Sent the lawn cemetery how we wanted it. Received the proofs back, checked it signed the confirmation and still months later we are still waiting. Endless phone calls to staff , hardly anyone gets back to you. Contacted head office even submitted a complaint notice and nothing. Communication is atrocious. I would personally go elsewhere if we could get our money back. NOT HAPPY AT ALL....
