Used to get my pizzas from this place quite a long time ago and I really enjoyed the food and service. Returned a few days ago and was met by a rather unfriendly older woman who struggled to take my order. Ordered a pizza and picked it up a short while later. As I got in my car I looked inside the pizza box and it was the wrong pizza. Returned immediately (I was parked at the front) and told the same woman that she had given me someone else’s order. The woman, very angrily said “it is what you ordered” to which I replied “I ordered a Margherita”… she snapped back at me and said “No you ordered a Supreme”… I pointed out that I had repeated the order back to her several times, as she did not seem to understand what I was asking for and she got increasingly angry at me, accusing me of “causing trouble” and that I (apparently) cause trouble all the time when I order. I pointed out to her that I had not been at their shop for over a year and that she must have been confusing me with someone else. She was by this time, yelling at me and another staff member came to the front area and I proceeded to let this person know about the mistake. The older woman started screaming at me as I was speaking to the other person saying I had to speak to her and not the other person. I told her that I would not be talking to her as she was rude. I then asked either for a correct order or my money back and the older woman slammed some cash on the counter and refunded the money I had paid.
The woman’s behaviour was totally uncalled for, appalling and threatening. She clearly got the order wrong and then most probably confused me with someone else as she tried to cover up her blunder. She perhaps needs to seriously consider some anger management and customer service training.
I will never set foot in the place ever again and must say that this woman’s behaviour has done nothing else but obtaining very negative feedback to anyone I will ever discuss the shop with.
To any readers of this, avoid this place at all costs! To management of Hills Gourmet Pizzas, if they ever read feedback, I’d be glad to provide details of the extreme rudeness and aggressiveness...
Read moreFirstly, the team running this joint have no respect towards their customers. We placed an order using menulog for ASAP pickup and reached their in approximately 20mins. We were told that they received the order from menulog just a five mins ago and pizza will take another twenty minutes before they get ready for pick up. That's a very lame excuse for their lack of attention to customer orders. We would expect a better answer then sorry it's not our fault. Menulog is an online order system and orders get sent out to respected food joints within a matter of NO seconds. There is no scope of delay in notifying restaurants as it's an online ordering system. Instead of saying it's not our fault they could have said sorry we are very busy but we are trying our best to get your order ready without any further delay. This type of attitude reflects their lack of respect towards customers. We ordered Margherita and Health Karma pizza. As per the menu we were expecting the vegetarian (Health Karma) pizza to serve with tandoori sauce. There was not a single drop of tandoori sauce we could find or taste on the pizza. The mint sauce was packed and served on side!! The pizza was really blend and not served with the ingredients as per the menu. After completing some personal business nearby, I arrived around 3:40pm - still closed and still no answer on phone. Was about to give up waiting when a staff member arrived and opened around 4:10pm. Around the same time, I received a call from 0400 * **9 claiming she had received several missed calls from my number. Her English fluency was limited and I could not get a straight answer to the simple questions "Do you have any connection with the pizza shop?" and "Do they redirect their missed calls to you?" The young man who opened the store, when asked how long the opening hours painted on the door had been out of date, replied "They are not, I just couldn't get here until now." Apart from that he was helpful and obliging, even if he did neglect to include the avocado on my Alaska (which I did not realise until I got it home.)...
