Lower Prospect Canal Reserve — Local services in Sydney

Part of Australia’s lustrous history is this canal that now is the bike track that goes for many kilometres and rated as one of the best in Sydney. You could take a ride to prospect reservoir for a picnic, or just ride around the reservoir. Keep going through the reservoir exit gates and you’ll end up at the historic Cricketers Arms Hotel for a cold beer. Love it ,sadly though since it opened numerous graffiti vandals continually trash the entire route including the heritage structures eg the aqueduct & syphon towers and the info panels along the entire route making them totally unreadable - update 2024 sadly the section near Bristol Street & Sherwood Rd opposite Merrylands High is strewn with large amounts of built up litter & dumped items the timber & wire rope fence is in a bad state of repair thanks to Cumberland City Council negligence &...
