The customer service is appalling!
It was a terrible version of âfaulty towersâ in the tasting room.
The man and female behind the bar were slow, non inclusive, and a terminal case of the âdropsysâ
I waited quietly as the 2 servers meandered through a group of 4, when we had just been at Janzs with the same amount of people, and that lady carried the whole process of with class, style and aplomb, 3 of the many things missing at Pipers Brooke.
My partner and I where completely over looked as we waited at the bar to commence our tasting, which I was really looking forward to.
The female server commenced her performance, systematically ignored me, even though Iâd been sitting there for a while, she wouldnât even make eye contact and only spoke to and served the group next to me (who came in after me) rather than including me.
My partner came over and saw I was getting progressively more upset, and we left, not having tried any of the wines we went for wine.
I was so hurt and upset when we left, I bust into tears.
This was the last thing I wanted to do on our last day in Tasmania.
This has left a horrible last impression and sullied our last day.
I donât know why we received this treatment.
Maybe we need to go back to the times where there are signs on the door to indicate who will and wonât be served!!!
I wonât ever be purchasing Pipers or 9th...

The drive in through the Pipers Brook vineyard is stunning, but when you arrive at the old dated cellar door complex itâs rather dull (dusty) and less appealing. Unfortunately the cellar door has no view at all - itâs an indoor space opening onto a small internal courtyard. Perfectly nice cafe space , but you could be anywhere. We pre-booked a tasting by phone and arrived on time at 1.30 - the staff were frantically running around and looked exhausted and ignored us. We thought about leaving but since there are not many dining options around the area, we decided to stay. We were seated in Nadineâs cafe area from where we could do a wine tasting. We ordered the Tasmanian Board which includes cheese, meat, prawns and salmon - this was absolutely sensational and the highlight of our visit - we were glad we stayed. The wine tasting was more of a wine flight really - we were asked to select 4 wines from the menu and nobody gave us any information...
