Anderson Inlet, sometimes incorrectly referred to as Andersons Inlet, is a shallow and dynamic estuary in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia where the Tarwin River enters Bass Strait. It forms a 2,400-hectare almost enclosed bay next to the town of Inverloch, for which it provides a popular and protected beach.

The Anderson Inlet Walk starts at the end of Doyle’s Rd, Venus Bay. The sheltered walk is quite even and easy to navigate. You walk through ti tree shrubbery, coastal banksia and skirt around the salt marshes. Beautiful views over Anderson Inlet at regular intervals. Lots of birds and wildlife. I spotted an echidna. Easy walk to do with kids, lots for them to explore.

Not much parking.. Great place to launch kayaks.. Extremely shallow... Fishing is hit and miss.. Normally try at the change of tides.. Sand flies are around so make sure you have plenty of bushman on hand!!

This is an interesting natural feature with a lot of access fot a variety of activities. It's generally clean, good road access, good boating access and a lot of fun for families.

Not much parking.. Great place to launch kayaks.. Extremely shallow... Fishing is hit and miss.. Normally try at the change of tides.. Sand flies are around so make sure you have plenty of bushman on hand!!

Not quite a swimmers beach. Must time high tide. I went at low tide, but mistake. Ok to build a sandcastle though, or for toddlers. Plenty of little crabs to dig up and scare the kids with😃. Or take home a bucket if you're an Asian family. I tried to tell them and I hope fisheries took action. I reported their car and...
