A small siding and display near the Alinta windfarm. There is a blade on display so you can get an idea of the size of these things, and an information panel. There is also a public toilet. When I visited the flies were horrendous. Also the real time power production display was not working. It's a bit out of the way driving wise. I think it might have been better placed in a local town where it would attract more interest and benefit...

It's amazing to see all these wind turbines (54 in total) across the open fields. The info board has lots of useful stats and background on the windfarm. Impressive statistics regarding the turbines payback period - three months over a twenty-five year expected lifetime. The blade on display is equally impressive - the first chance I've had to see a blade up close. BTW, the toilets at the site are open - bring...

An interesting wind farm where you can get surprisingly close to the massive turbines and truly appreciate their scale and engineering. A powerful display of renewable energy in action and just a few minutes off Brand Highway.

Always super cool to see wind farms up close! An extra special thing about this particular one is the giant 50 metre wing on the ground for you to look at and touch. Bathrooms not the cleanest, but decent.
