If remote and secluded is what you are looking for, Kuri Bay is where you’ll find it. This isolated bay on the Australian mainland is only accessible by sea or seaplane. Helping shelter the bay is one of Australia’s largest uninhabited islands, Augustus Island. My wife and I visited here in May 2023 on a cruise ship. Our tour guide was young and a bit nervous but, I guess he was not employed as a guide. If you get the opportunity, well worth the visit....
