On our journey between Melbourne and Adelaide, we stumbled upon the Pink Salt Lake, a hidden gem that offers a unique and serene experience. While the lake wasn’t as vividly pink as we might have expected, it was still a captivating sight and made for some fantastic photo opportunities.

The landscape surrounding the lake is peaceful, and the reflective surface of the salt adds an ethereal quality to the area. For drone enthusiasts, this spot is a treasure – the aerial views of the lake’s subtle hues and its contrast with the surrounding terrain are absolutely stunning.

A word of caution: the ground near the lake can be wet, so it’s best to wear appropriate footwear to avoid discomfort. While the bathroom facilities were not in the best condition, this minor inconvenience doesn’t overshadow the natural beauty of the place.

Overall, the Pink Salt Lake is a worthwhile stop for anyone traveling this route. It’s a chance to stretch your legs, capture some unique memories, and experience a slice of Australia’s...

“The pink lake in yorketown is really a magical place. The lake is pink, which is really super beautiful because of thousands of microbes in the lake , which is layered by sunlight”. It is just 3 hours drive from cbd, Adelaide. Remember not to go in too hot or too cold. In my personal opinion you should go when its areound 30 degrees or close to it. You have many other lakes near by but this is at its best. Good...

The surface was dry and solid, so we could walk on it safely, which made the experience even more special (The color of the lake can change depending on the time of year) In our case, it wasn’t very very pink, but still really beautiful and...
