Es tracta d’un subcamp del de Mauthausen. Aquest és l’espai del cementiri on hi les plaques d’algunes víctimes i també les d’homenatge dels diferents països als seus morts. El cementiri està envoltant per cases habitades, que abans eren terreny del camp de treball. Els túnels dins de la muntanya on els feien treballar, estan a uns 10 minuts caminant. El camí no està gaire ben indicat, però si s’agafen de referència les muntanyes altes més properes, és més fàcil trobar-ho.

Josef Stalin sagte mal ein Toter Ist eine Tragödie und eine Million Tote ist eine Statistik. Genau aus diesem Grund bin ich jedes mal wenn ich den Löwengang und den Opferfriedhof betroffen und berührt: Es macht das individuelle Leid greifbar als ich es z.b. im ehemaligen KZ Mauthausen empfinde. Der Wald , die Stille , die Dunkelheit der Stollen, all dass trägt dazu bei dass es immer ein besonderes Mahnmal bleiben wird.

Sehr interressant & äußerst bewegend. Sehr freundlicher Mitarbeiter, der uns sogar hinein gelassen hat, obwohl wir zu wenig Geld bei uns hatten. Ein Ort, an dem mir mal wieder klar wurde, wie wichtig es ist, sich an dieses schreckliche Kapitel unserer Geschichte zu erinnern, sodass sowas nie wieder passieren kann. #neverforget #ichbinhier

No original structures left. Tunnels is said to be 3 minutes walking from parking, but is no where to be found, despite the fact that the infoboard says so. Presumably the austrians are so ashamed of what they have done in the past (and rightfully so!) that they don't want...

A memorial you must go and visit for all who have their lives for what was right. Sad but nice place. Don't forget to take guide with you if you can for explaining each area of the camp. Definitely will make you appreciate...
