We were here for the 2017 Redbull Erzberg Rodeo Hard Enduro Motorcycle Race. As English speaking Americans, it was a challenge to navigate through the city due to lack of signage, but once we were on the mine, getting around was very easy. The overall scale of the mountain is way more vast and impressive than photos and videos give it justice. City buses will take spectators from the parking area to the factory pits and up the mountain to key parts of the track once the race commences. Go to the pits first, there you'll find free maps of the track and programs. The finish line is near the pits with grand stands. Bring extra cash, there was a mixup with our tickets so we had to pay at the entry gate which left little money for food and beer. Wear good hiking shoes, the incline is very steep with loose dirt and rock. Many of the bus drivers sell beer cheaper than the vendors in the pits, I recommend buying from them. The race lasts about 4.5 hours if you count the airshow at the beginning but expect to wait in traffic about 2 hours when its over. The town of Eisenerz if very small and sleepy, we stayed nearby Graz, there you'll find a mid-sized college town with great affordable restaurants and historic + modern architecture connected by great public transportation and bike lanes. Great overall experience, very professional other than the poor signage in the city, great to check this one of the bucket list. Highly...

Well this is the first time I experienced rac*sm of this level that someone becomes physical with me, unprovoked.

So, I don't understand German quite well. At the reception a lady pointed to the helmets and said something about Helms. Naturally I thought I should take one. It was an open basket. Then comes another lady and pushes me roughly to the side. I was shocked. And then I saw her talking nicely to everyone else. So it got worse for me. Anyways, another person was nice enough to explain to me that I should wait and they will bring the helmets. Kind of a bummer to start the trip but the mine is...

We took the combined tours of Hauly and mine with family of two kids. Very interesting experience and a must visit if you are in the region. Only thing is the tour was conducted in local language which we can’t understand. There is English audio guides . Would have been nice if there is an English tour or also French and mandarin audios. Also bring a warm jacket as in the mines it was quite...
