Dreamy hikes in this area. Incredibly scenic location with beautiful ponies roaming around, cascading streams, lush green landscape in late July. Hut is clean. Most beds were comfortable, though a few designated Lager sleeping spots were half on one mattress and half on another mattress 😂 Kaiserschmarrn here was really good!! I highly recommend it. Food was otherwise so-so. Buttermilk with Preiselbeer was like a cranberry yogurt drink. Deer ragout they let me swap out knödels for potatoes! Hot chocolate had very little chocolate, but looks yummy ^^ Friendly service. €5 for 4 min shower. Clean sink areas and toilets. The cottage is easy to reach and is located beside a small waterfalll. The view into the valley is great. Furthermore it is only 15 minutes away from a natural amphiteater which positively surprised me. The cottage is perfect located to start the hike to "Greifenberg" and "Klafferkessel". The staff was very friendly and the "Matratzenlager" seemed to be new. It was proper and clean, as were the toiletts and the washing rooms. Each bed had also 2 blankets available, no need to carry a big sleeping bag. "Hüttenschlafsack" is enough and can be baught at the staff. Eating...
