A perfect place for those planning a short trek or hike in the alps. • We booked a hotel in Mayrhofen ( Pension Steiner - Very friendly owner, helpful & we were there for 2 nights and we could leave our backpacks in our room even after checking out for a whole day. Great !) • we took Penken Seil bahn (cable car) to Penken Joch. • Then, we did hike to Waglspitz than to Vorderlanersbach (total 6 hours ). Level - easy • from Vorderlanersbach took bus back to mayrhofen ( we had Wochenticket tirol - we could use any public transport for free for a week - cost 50 €)
