Gerlitzen — Local services in Treffen am Ossiacher See

A great place to skiing and spending holiday. The Gerlitzen ski resort rises above the magical Ossiachi lake. From the shore of the lake, a four-person cabin lift takes you up to the track system. The slopes lie between 1000 and 1911 m, so the season lasts until the beginning of April. Its characteristics include wide tracks and almost constant sunshine. A real family ski resort. Snowboarders can also find their calculations here, because the fun park has a half pipe, ramparts, as well as a kicker and railslide.

The Klösterle piste, marked 8 and 9, is more than 5 km long and lies on the northern side of the mountain, which is why it is especially snow-bearing. Carinthia's first eight-seater chairlift, equipped with comfortable leather seats, was built next to tracks 5 and 7. Tip: Huaba Hütte in the upper part of the Klösterle track, very good cuisine and reasonable prices. Those who have the courage can also take part in a tandem flight (with an instructor) with a paraglider.

The carousel of lifts and ski slopes, which includes 13 downhill slopes, is signposted with the name "Stella Ronda", so that you can always ski against the sun. Start on the east side in the morning, continue on the west side in the afternoon.

Liebes Gerlitzen Team

Wir waren heute als Patchworkfamilie zum ersten Mal bei Ihnen. Pünktlich um 8.00 eingeparkt haben wir lange nach dem Self Service Ticket Automaten gesucht und nicht gefunden weil er in den Menschenmassen untergegangen ist. Gut. So stellen wir uns eben an der Kassa an .. ..20 Minuten. Endlich Skitickets in der Hand und das Geschiebe und Gedränge zur Seilbahn beginnt. Chaos. Überforderte Familien, euer Personal überfordert mit den Massen....um 9.30 haben wir es endlich geschafft und die Mittelstation erreicht.  Fix und fertig allerdings.

Tagsüber war viel los, eh klar in den Weihnachtsferien. Aber um 16.00 überzeitig für die Abfahrt bereit sein und wieder eine Stunde dafür anstehen zu müssen ist eine Frechheit.  Das Personal hilft nicht mal Familien mit Kleinkindern in die Gondeln, mein Schwiegersohn wurde an der Skijacke vom Liftpersonal hochgezogen und angepöbelt weil er im Einstiegsbereich gestolpert ist. Es war einfach unmöglich.  Und auch sehr gefährlich! Die Geduld von Personal und Skifahrern war sichtlich am Ende. Endlich im Tal angekommen.  Der Skibus unserer Freunde war nicht mehr zu erreichen. Wir haben gerne Taxi gespielt.

Wir sind traurig,  wie mit Sportsfreunden, Familien, Gästen umgegangen wird und wissen eines genau: die Gerlitzen sieht uns nie wieder.

Awesome view over the Ossiacher lake and various mountains. There are hiking paths with different levels of difficulties and lengths, cow encounters included ;) We saw possibilities for paragliding, a rope park and at least one playground. You can either walk or go up by car or by two gondolas (the 2nd one is a ski lift). The gondolas are rather expensive and the personnel at the gondolas...
