Spannagel Cave — Local services in Tux

We could not find an online shop for the cable car but it was also possible to buy one at the station. We were equipped with good clothing, helmets and gloves. The cave is amazing. Narrow corridors and tunnels, a great experience for kids. The guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem is getting there - on foot from the ski lift, along the red slope, quite steep. When it’s foggy and cloudy, it’s quite dangerous, we almost got lost in the snow on the way back. Die Trekkingtour (B) war das absolute Highlight unseres Urlaubs vor 2 Wochen!!! Die Tour ist äußerst beeindruckend. Unser Führer Christoph ist sehr sympathisch gewesen, er hat die Tour individuell nach unserer Kondition und unserem Können gestaltet und nicht nur ein Standardprogramm abgespult. So fanden sich dann viele Leitern, Klettersteigpassagen und Engstellen auf unserem Weg und er ist mit uns bis zum Kreuz gegangen (kleiner Insiderwitz). In den Verschnaufpausen hat er viel informatives Fachwissen vermittelt. Schade daß man sich das nicht alles merken kann. Ich denke, in dieser Art bekommt man sonst nirgendwo die Möglichkeit, abseits von gut erschlossenen Schauhöhlen mit Vollmontur und Kletterausrüstung in die Gedärme eines Höhlenmonsters vorzudringen!
