Only rating the restaurant: Big traditional cottage at about 1800m with a restaurant and overnight dorms for your cross-alpine hiking trip. It's also a good base to start or end your climbing route up to the mountain top. The view is great, for quality good, everything seemed fresh. Prices are acceptable for quality and quantity served. Service was quick, staff friendly. The menu is actually quite varied for a high up place looks this. Can be busy on sunny days. The hike up here is intermediate, so be sure to have a solid stamina and proper hiking boots. Be mindful of the wildlife and nature reserve, so take all your trash back home with you!

Sind hier auf einer Wanderung eingekehrt. Es war super. Liegt an einem schönen Ort mit guter Aussicht. Essen ist auch top und der Service sehr nett.

It felt really good to see this hut after a long walk. It was so quiet and lonely, but so beautiful to see. The matratzenlager we slept in was massive compared to the other huts and there only was a tiny sleeping place. But it was good enough for me. The owner of the place was a little bit grumpy but for the rest he was nice. Toilets, showers and washing areas were also basic but clean. The food was good, plenty and hot. All in all a good hut to stay!

Terrible experience. The absolute worst place I have ever visited. It is astonishing that this place is actually categorized as a 2-star hotel... Food and drinks: Low quality and at the same time greatly overpriced. Worst goulash I ever tasted. The overpriced breakfast was very basic. Stale, unfresh bread, and when I asked if there are any eggs, I was given a condescending speech that "This is not a hotel, but a hut in the mountains. There are no eggs." Want some more terrible filtered coffee? You have to pay extra. No cell reception and no wifi, which normally supposed to work only until 7 PM, but wasn't working at all due to "technical problems" according to the owners. Yet, the password-protected staff Wifi was working fine. My friend asked to send one message to let his family know he is ok and was denied. No hot water in the shower unless you pay 3 euros for every 3 min...at which point you get room temperature water at best. Sleeping conditions - it is bad enough that you have to spend the night with 20 other people, but the space we were given on the mattress, which was designated for 5 people is barely enough for 3 normal size adults. Atmosphere - rude and unpleasant for tourists. We were the ONLY non-native German speakers that day and were feeling very unwelcome. At some point, one of the guests actually told us that the sound of our language "bothers him". When we described the incident to one of the personnel people, she just shrugged and walked away. Another table was screaming drunk songs at the top of their lungs and the personnel did nothing to ask them to be a little quieter. This place is the only option to stay overnight if you are hiking in that specific area, which is an amazing location...and they abuse this fact to the fullest. Avoid like the plague. You are better off doing a day trip and coming back down or...

We booked a dorm with our company, but we got a lager instead. Also, they lost our reservation and that’s probably why we got the lager.||They were horrible with allergies. We got served a soup, but because of the allergy we got served one plate with only bouillon, instead of a filled bouillon. A slice of bread would have been friendly.|The desert was a HUMILIATION. We got a whole apple served on a plate, because of lactose intolerance. The rest got a nice desert. They didn’t even take the effort to at least make them handle the allergy situation. ||The other humiliating thing was, that as a woman you have to walk into the men’s washing room to get yourself drinking water… ||However the WORST thing was, they woke us up. Pulling on the big toes. Shining with two light into your face. We had to pay “straight away” for the drinks we had that night. While we had an agreement to pay in the morning (just like every other hut). They were grabbing our PERSONAL stuff to get the money as fast as they could. They were disturbing our sleep, harassing is, touching things that’s not their’s to touch. It was straightforward a circus show.||Also the half our WiFi seems more like a power dynamic issue from their side… give WiFi or don’t give it at all… at was you can inform your relatives that your not dead because of poor working WiFi due to power issues that the staff apparently is dealing with..||People NEVER spend your money on this hut. They override your consent and laugh in your...
