Little San Salvador Island also known as Half Moon Cay is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever visited!!! The sand is so white it reminded me of the Pensacola/Destin area of Florida. The water is on another level altogether!!! It is so clear it looks like Swimming Pool Water!!! It is so clear it's easy to see Pampano fish swimming on the bottom 3 to 4 get deep!!! It's amazing to be in water up to your upper chest and be able to see your feet on the bottom! There are beach lounges all over the beach for you to use. There are also "Clam Shells" with lounges to provide you with shade, but you need to reserve those will in advance of your trip if you would like a little shade to retreat to. There are also Bungalows you can reserve and rent with A/C and electricity. This time when we were there the electricity was out and some people weren't very happy campers. Plus it's a pretty good fee you pay to rent one!!! There are restrooms, places to get food and drinks while you're there. It's just a really beautiful place to relax with your family, Wade in the clear water, play in the sand, unwind!!! There area few places to rinse your feet and shoes of the same as it sticks pretty good!!! There are boats that ferry people back and forth to your cruise ship so you can leave when you're ready which is...

Just long enough to have a great time and not get overheated. Our guide was knowledgeable and everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly. We hit all the activity spots on the island and then stopped to do the short hike to the summit (of 60 ft). We saw the sting rays and horses, as well as the jet skis and clamshells. The bikes were old school without hand brakes and had seen better days but the seats were comfortable and they were perfect for the short distances we rode. The beaches really are breathtaking and picturesque. There are several gift shops selling the same crap you can buy on the boat. The pirate ship bar is a nice touch! The bartenders and wait staff were fantastic. They go out of their way to make it entertaining. I went with 4 stars because the food left a lot to be desired. BBQ chicken was bland and the burgers had so much filler they didn't taste like meat. Mac and cheese was ok. Desserts...

It's worth it, hot tub, your own private full bathroom (yes it has a shower), food, drinks, power, shade, float mats, snorkel gear, chairs, balconies..no the drink package doesn't work but if you get beer cans from the bar the night before and tell them not to open them, put them in your room fridge, then you can take it in your backpack the morning of and put them in the cooler (with ice) that they provide at the villa so you don't have to pay for beers. We stayed at B villa and it's close to the buffet and pirate ship (bar), plus you're close to the rental shack, all the kid stuff is close to where you get off the ship so not a lot of kids be where you're at. Water is as clear as pool water and warm, all the people that work in the island are extremely helpful and nice...FYI if you get the villa, you get to be in the island 1 hour before...
