Advice: Make sure to have a guaranteed vehicle. Bring mosquito spray. Carry enough US cash ($300-$600? per person depending on if you plan on activities)...ATMs are in town, and the only one next to their airport lounge was out cash. Make a stop at the grocery store first.

For how much it cost per night, a guaranteed car is a must for those who have strict dietary needs.

People/staff are really nice...the staff not only work here, but at the airport lounge as well...the rental car we requested wasn't ready until our third night. This location is far from airport/grocery/town. On-site kitchen/bar closes early, and there isn't a "last call" so you don't really know if the kitchen/bar was still open or not. We stayed during New Years, and surprisingly their bar was closed. Even though the other guests requested breakfast the night before, they had to wait awhile (island time) till it was ready, and they weren't really sure if there was breakfast or not. Another couple who couldn't get their hands on a vehicle eventually moved to a different property. We (guests) didn't really know what was going on, like what time is breakfast ready, if kitchen/bar was closing, when our rental car was going to show up.

Although the staff is really nice, when factoring the cost per night, condition of the rental car (definitely someone's personal vehicle which also needed deep cleaning...stained seats...residue/grime in cupholders), it did not meet expectations for me.

Would I come back? Yeah, but definitely make sure you get your hands on a car even if...

Booked the 2 bedroom villa for about a week and wasn’t disappointed. The villas are about a 30-40 minute drive from the airport in a town called Rolleville. The 2 bedroom had towels, dish-ware, dish tv, fans, WiFi and air conditioning. The villas are low key with lots of beach to walk (go to coco plum beach it’s a 25 min walk). The local store is walking distance, but you’re gonna want a car to drive to a grocery store with more options, but make sure you buy some groceries as food options are limited. Also, I recommend renting a car so you can check out other parts of the island (Tropic of Cancer is beautiful). ||MaryAnn and Elvis are great hosts, including Shandoe(?) who works at the bar.... sorry I don’t know how her name is spelled. Exuma point is a very quiet area that is a 15 minute or so boat ride to pig island which was $50 booked through Elvis (you can also kayak over too). Elvis took us to see star fish, the sand bars, and the blue hole for an extra fee, but it was well worth it (cheaper than other companies offering the same excursion). They have lemon sharks that come to the dock towards sundown which is really cool to see! You should try Exuma Point at least for a few days as it’s a different experience than other parts...

Amazing Resort in an amazing location! I decided to come here with my girlfriend for my wedding proposal. All of the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Maryann and Tory really worked with me to ensure the proposal was special and that we enjoyed our stay, as well as helped me with a car rental. The beach was incredible and we loved our room! All of the appliances were nice and the bed was comfortable. The resort is quiet and feels safe. On the northern part of the island, any snorkel or boat trips are close and practical. Also, the resort makes it easy and practical to go see the pigs! For a very reasonable price, they will take you on a short 10 minute boat ride to see the famous pigs! Overall, great resort, great amenities, great staff. Five stars!! Thanks again Tory!

I did not stay at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the accomodations. However, the buildings are all beautifully painted in different colors and appear well maintained. I highly recommend the all you can eat Sunday brunch. It's well worth the charge of $25. During my visit the brunch included fish, shrimps, chicken prepared in several ways, steamed cabbage and vegetables, rice and beans, rice with crab meat, Cole slaw, salad and other veggies... I'm sure I missed one or two other offerings. The staff was pleasant and attentive and eating right by the waters edge made it even more enjoyable.
