Twenty years ago in our 41’ sail boat .. we lived and loved and met and made life long friends and had the experience of a lifetime. Think standing on a dock with a couple hundred of your closest friends while the dock collapses. Think racing your home in forty knot winds in the harbor inside Stocking Island and now today, understanding that Marsh Harbor may no longer exist after today and tomorrow after Dorian .. feeling very sad! Stocking Island near George Town is a Cruiser's Paradise. The cruising community is amazing! Listen on VHF channel 68 every morning at 8 am. To find out what is going on, find help or offer help. Beach Church is every Sunday morning at 9:30am at the Chat 'n Chill beach. Volleyball is played every afternoon or sit down and join a game of Mexican Train. Amazing destination in the Bahamas. Not too touristy so you can feel the local culture. The Atlantic-facing side of Stocking Island has an excellent beach that is about two miles long.
