Great Guana Cay is an islet in The Bahamas. It is a long, narrow islet, 7 miles long. It is in the centre of the Abaco Islands and is near Gumelemi Cay. It is about 8 miles from Marsh Harbour. Approximately 150 people live on the island, mostly along the five and a half mile long stretch of beach.

Had the pleasure of working and living on Guana Cay for a year. Let me tell you you won't want to leave. Yes its an expensive island but its worth it. At times you need to get off the island for necessities or just need a break. The locals are most kindest welcoming people I know. They are very proud of the home. Guana cay has great restaurants to choose from so if you are sailing you don't have to cook whiles your in town.

I went there to provide Hurricane Disaster relief & Security as a Private First Responder, the area took a Hit (Bad) but I met a Community that was there for each other to get threw it all because we all are one family and we shall rebuilt and come back even better and Make Great Guana Cay (Great Again) God Bless!

Laid back peaceful, a little busier this year recovering from the Hurricane, everyone was friendly, unfortunately Mama's was closed, the liquor store and grocery store, Grabbers, no Nippers destroyed

I spent 2 weeks on Great Guana Cay with Samaritan’s Purse disaster relief. It is a beautiful place even in the midst of the terrible destruction caused by Dorian. The heart of the beauty is in the community of people. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel a part of the community. They have come together as one big family to rebuild their beautiful home. I sure hope to...
