CHANDRAMAHAL ECO PARK
Chandra Mahal Eco Park (Chandra Mahal Eco Park) is an eco park and picnic spot located in Ranjitpur village next to Khulna-Mongla highway of Bagerhat district headquarters. Eco Park has a building modeled after the Taj Mahal, called Chandra Mahal. In 2002, Salim Huda built this eco park covering an area of about 30 acres and named it Chandramahal after his wife Nasima Huda Chandra. Visitors to Chandramahal Eco Park are mesmerized by the beauty of Chandramahal. Sunlight reflected on the golden color of the building creates a strange atmosphere. Chandramahal is surrounded by water from all sides, so to get to the main building, you have to go through an underwater tunnel.
Chandramahal houses various archeological monuments for the entertainment of the visitors. Various artefacts including domestic and foreign coins, postage stamps, war weapons, ancient clocks, ornaments, religious artifacts, stone furniture, rare manuscripts, various pottery artefacts, etc. are housed in the Chandramahal Eco Park.
Various sculptures, bamboo houses, pansi boats, replica of Razakar's gallows, artificial railway lines, restaurants and picnic spots have been constructed in Chandramahal Eco Park for visiting visitors. All arrangements are made here for the convenience of organizing a picnic. And the mini zoo at Chandramahal Eco Park has various species of animals including monkeys, wild cats, deer, pheasants, turkeys, white peacocks, bucks, dogs, eagles, Madan bald eagles, white doves, laughing birds, owls, pigeons, pigeons, quails, crocodiles. .
Timetable and entry ticket price
Chandramahal Eco Park is open for visitors daily from 7 am to 6:30 pm. To enter the park, you have to collect a ticket for 50 taka per person.
how to go
A number of buses leave Meghna, Banphool, Falguni, Ara, Tauri, Baleshwar, Hamim and Dola from Syedabad Bus Terminal in Dhaka every day from 6 am to 10 am and from 7 pm to 10 pm. Sohag, Shakura, Hanif and Eagle transport vehicles depart from Gabtali Bus Terminal. These buses charge 500 to 700 taka per person. If you travel by bus, you can get off near Ranjitpur village if you talk about Chandramahal.
And if you want to travel by train, you can take intercity train Sundarban Express to Khulna and take a bus to Bagerhat. It takes only 60 minutes to reach Bagerhat from Rupsa in Khulna.
Besides, one can go to Chandramahal Eco Park located on the side of Khulna-Mangla highway from Bagerhat city by riding on battery operated easy bike and CNG.

Chondro is the name of his wife and the name of the house is given after her. Lot of local visitors use to come here everyday. It was another bright and sunny day, and it was day-2. Before entering inside the Bagerhat's world heritage site, we have visited the Chondro Mohol. I have visited this before once, and this time sneaked inside again as it was near from our way.It was free once upon a time, but now a days they have put an entry fee to enter. It's 20 Taka these days. Apart from the house, the area is nicely decorated with flowers. Also it has symbolic sculptures to depict the lost culture of our Bangladesh. It has a mini zoo at one corner, and has several ponds around. ouse Chondro Mohol is surrounded by water and to reach there you have to go through an underpass that goes under the water. Inside the house, they have placed few stuffs which probably are the collected items from several part of the world (as a hobby, or during their traveling). It located beside the road of Khulna - Mongla. The name of the village is Ronojitpur. If you are using public transport then you could request the driver to drop you near that village. Also you can ask them about Chondro Mohol. They all know about it. Also you could hire the battery driven auto rickshaw (from Bagerhat town) for round trip to visit the place.
