This is a reference museum of art nouveau and art déco tiles in Europe. It has a large collection of Gilliot & Cie wall tiles, which was the factory that produced more number of units in the whole continent. The art deco collection is very impressive, since it´s rare to find tile panels of that style and in such a good condition. It also has examples of the rest of the factories in Belgium and of the machinery that was used to make and press the tiles. It was interesting to discover that this factory was the one who made the ceramics for the façade of the "Museum of the Instruments" in Brussels, and of many other iconic buildings.
