A small but intimate memorial dedicated to 243 tank soldiers who gave their lives in both World Wars. The floor plan of this memorial represents the area within a Mark IV WW1 tank with coloured tiles indicating the space in which the tank crew were situated. The plinth with the marble stone plate gives a description of the Memorial and the height of the pillar indicates the height of the tank. The surrounding garden is made from the sacred soil from the battlefields on which these brave soldiers fought. There is a visitors book and information fact sheet in the box set into the wall of the memorial. The Memorial is lit at night and it is a tranquil place to pay your respects to those who did their bit to ensure your liberty today.
