In the last 4 days I have visited cemeteries and memorials to the soldiers from England, Canada, France, Belgium, New Zealand, German as well as other Commonwealth nations, so to be able to visit the Welsh Memorial was very special. A small yet neatly laid out and maintained Memorial with the Welsh national in Welsh in the western corner. The focal point is the impressive dragon mounted on stones standing some six foot or so above the Memorial.

A small directional sign close to the main road informs visits that it is 327 miles to Wales. A small yet significant sign highlighting how far these men were from...

Year on year this site improves. From a field, to a field with some big rocks & a gravel lay-by, to a proper looking memorial park now

One of the best dragon statues outside of Wales overlooks this compact site. Limited parking space now, but you can get a coach in (maybe 2 if no cars there).

A wonderful memorial to all those who lost their lives and served during WW1.

A peaceful place to reflect and pay respects to those lost in WW1.

Parking is possible as there is a small cobbled lay-by in front of...

This is a place to visit to show what a group of ordinary people in Wales and Flanders can do to remember the sacrifices made during WW1, recently re-painted so it looks awesome. There is a vehicle pull in off the road, and places to sit and enjoy the memorial.
