Wonderful and quite unique museum with beautiful surroundings. This was one of my best museum experiences I've had - and I have been to quite a few places now. If you want to learn about the war from first hand eye witnesses, who literally have stories about every single little item in the museum, then this is the place to visit. The owner/founders and their associates are all lovely people who will show you a truly amazing tour of their collection for an almost illegally low price. Be prepared to put aside two to three hours for the guided tour as you don't want to miss all the small anecdotes. Do be aware that guided tours are, from my understanding, mandatory, which I also think it should be, as it brings the collection together. So book in advance, they are happy to help you and prepared to schedule a private tour. Again this museum is completely unique and worth a visit no matter if you are a military historian or completely new to...
Read moreThe M&M Museum is by far the most humbling place I visited while in the area. I had the honor of visiting in early 2020 before the pandemic began. Marcel's personal stories of what he experienced during WWII will bring you to tears and help you realize what a great world we live in now after such evil tried to take over and destroy a part of humanity. Mathilde, Marcel's wife, is a PHENOMENAL host and can share every detail of each item they've got in their museum. She remembers who it came from, where it came from, and when it came from. Her incredible gift to continue to share the stories of so many men and women, civilian and military, is unmatchable. They have such a great calling and are a major blessing to this world we live in. I look forward to being able to visit them again one day in the near future. Thank you for your kind and friendly hospitality....
Read moreRemember Museum is a rare gem among all WWII museums. It's so unique, so interesting, so alive that I can't put it into words. You just have to visit it. Mathilde guided us through this incredible visit with her kindness and sympathy. These are personal stories, told by those who lived through this dark period in our history. So many details, so much care, so much work has gone into this exhibition. The recognition and affection that the MMs have for war veterans after so many years is heart-warming. I'll never forget Marcel's smile as he welcomed us and said goodbye, transmitting kindness and tenderness. I was also lucky enough to have the book telling his story and that of his family autographed by him. I will treasure this very special day. It is important to note for those interested that the visit must be...
