Sonian Forest — Local services in Watermael-Boitsfort - Watermaal-Bosvoorde

Beautiful forest just outside Brussels and accessible by bus, car, train. You can take direct bus 366 from Ixelles, there are other options too. There are numerous trails and a good idea is to download offline maps before you go because network is poor in the forest. The forest is so huge that you need many days and many trips to actually cover all the trails. There are clear signs of which path you can walk/bike/ride horse on. You can choose a few bus stops also I believe, depending on which trail to explore but beware that there are not many...

It's too easy to take this place for granted when you live nearby. 45 square kilometers of forest, paths, streams, meadows, ponds, and all of that right on the capital's doorstep. I still find places that amaze me and I've been coming...

Mooi aangelegd Arboretum in hartje van Tervuren,voor wie rust en stilte zoekt,een wandeling of picknick in een prachtig domein,ook mountainbike liefhebbers komen aan hun trekken!Men kan via het Zoniënwoud helemaal tot in Hart van Brussel wandelen,fietsend,zelfs al rollend als het u is gegeven🙃 Het Arboretum is rijk aan planten bomen(zo als de Amerikaanse eik)en dieren,het bos is ook rijk aan herten,beste moment om deze te spotten is in de vroege morgen wanneer de zon opkomt! Ik wens iedereen een fijne dag toe in dit schitterende stuk aangelegde Arboretum, Wel is het aanbevolen het Zoniënwoud bij valavond te verlaten daar er geen licht is in het woud en verdwalen rapper om de hoek komt kijken dan uzelf...
