Buli Tsho; the lake of so much endowments of nature and spirituality; the sacred palace of the protective Moenmo, is the most popular pilgrimage site in Kheng Buli. It's located at the southern belt of the village and takes about 20 minutes' drive from the main road and 10 minutes' walk from the parking. The lake is silent and peaceful inside a deep gorge of thick forest. There are so many interesting stories, legends, and narratives around the lake. How the Moenmo had helped in the rise of Buli Poenpo Singye Namgyel, and later becoming a dark character in Bhutan history, is quite an interesting one. If you are lucky, you get to see the uniquely wonderful fluttering of surface waves and two lovely birds clearing leaves fallen on the surface of the lake. The lake is worth visiting. However, if you have a plan, please note: 1. Cash for fees & Nyendhar. No scan pay facility. 2. The light brown Jaju poe (incense) as other have animal fats. 3. Entry fees: Nu.30 per head for nationals and Nu.100 for tourists. 4. Offering cow milk is allowed but not those processed milks. 5. Dalda to exchange with prepared butter lamps. 6. You can also bring your own butter lamps prepared. 8. Take note of the months this lake is closed for public.

.If you find yourself in Zhemgang, this place is a must-see. It's approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Zhemgang town towards Buli, followed by a short 5-minute walk from the parking area. Don't forget to bring offerings like incense sticks and fresh milk (avoid packaged brands like Amul Taza). However, please note that it is closed to visitors from the 8th to the 10th months of the Bhutanese calendar.

Buli Tsho, the magical lake of Buli is believed to be the sacred seat of Buli Moenmo, the Tshomen (mermaid) of Buli. It is one of the sacred religious sites in Buli Gewog under Zhemgang. Residents recite prayers and offer milk to Moenmo at the lake. The lake is extremely clean at all times. One of the narratives claims that there are two birds believed to be the cleaners of Buli Moenmo, they clean up all the leaves and twigs that fall in the lake. The lake is vast yet mysteriously calm and serene. Buli Tsho is...
