Would not recommend! Massages here are expensive because itâs Paro. For the price we expected larger rooms and better infrastructure. Was cold the whole time - my mattress wasnât warming and neither was the room hot, so I was shivering the whole time. The massage I received in Thimpu was much better.
My therapist was kind enough to use hot stone for a knot on my back but her other techniques were just so-so. The main lady was being slightly rude and dismissive to us when we came in and after the massage. She gave a good leg massage to another person who came with me but was condescending to us throughout when we entered the spa and while leaving. Our guide told us to go here because he promised us a discount because it was his âfriendâ. We asked them for the discount and they said no and we dropped it and went ahead for the massage.
Later after our massage, during the payment time our card got rejected and we had to find cash which delayed payments a bit. This was not anyoneâs fault.
But I would recommend getting a massage in Thimphu instead! While leaving we gave them feedback that the massage was not as great as the price and they started arguing with us and said their other reviews are good. That doesnât matter. We didnât have a good experience and thatâs that. They were unwilling to accept our feedback. Honestly this was the only bad customer experience we...
Read moreThis was one of the best massage Iâve had in my life! Iâve gotten massages all over the world when I travel, and I usually donât leave reviewsâthis one was that good.
My friends and I came here the night before we hiked Tigerâs Nest, and decided we had to come back after the hike. They were able to accommodate all 6 of us with same-day appointments. All of us got the Bhutanese massage on the first night. Everyone came out from their massage rooms all blissed out. Our masseuses were very precise with pressure points and opening up the meridians. On the second night, two of my friends got the Himalayan Healing massage from Ms. Tshewang Lhamo, and they both had their minds blown. Ms. Tshewang Lhamoâs Himalayan Healing is not an actual massage, but more like energy releases and healings. She scans you for blockages and helps you remove them.
My Bhutanese massage from Sonam was soooooo good! Book a massage from her and you wont regret it!
TL;DR: Book the Himalayan Healing massage and the...
Read moreâI recently visited Tshetob Ying Yum Spa and had an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The atmosphere was serene and beautifully designed, creating the perfect environment for relaxation.
I opted for [specific service, e.g., a deep tissue massage], and the therapist was exceptionalâattentive to my needs and highly skilled. The treatment was both soothing and therapeutic, and I felt the stress melt away as the session progressed.
The facilities were spotless, and all amenities were thoughtfully provided, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the little details, like the calming music, herbal teas, and cozy waiting area.
