This pass is nearly 3,800 meters tall, so it gets a bit chilly here even on a good day. Being the second highest pass on the Bhutanese highway system, there would be pretty good views if the weather were good and there weren't a lot of clouds. Unfortunately that wasn't the case either time I drove by here. The first time it was a snowy haze, and although the skies were blue the second time, the mountains on all sides had clouds covering them. Regardless of the weather, it's worthwhile to get out of the car for a bit, stretch your legs, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. And if you're lucky enough to have good weather, you'll really be in for a treat.

Thrumshing La and Kori La (2,298 metres,7,539 ft) ThrumshingLa separates Bumthang and Lhuentse Districts and forms the watershed between Raidāk and Manas River systems. It is the second-highest mountain pass in Bhutan, connecting its central and eastern regions. It is located on a bend of Lateral Road at the border of Bumthang District (Ura Gewog, leaving Ura southbound) and Mongar District (Saling Gewog, toward Sengor) along the border with Lhuntse District to the east.

Paradise in earth, awesome and cold pace. Highest peak/pass of bhutan road so far. Its too cold in winters. Difficult to drive in ice and snow. Best time to cross this path is btn march- june, aug- oct.
