Bjelašnica is a mountain in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is found directly to the southwest of Sarajevo, bordering Mt. Igman. Bjelašnica's tallest peak, by which the whole mountain group got its name, rises to an elevation of 2067 meters (6782 feet). Other notable peaks are Krvavac (2061 m), Mali Vlahinja (2055 m), and Hranisava (1964 m). The Bjelašnica range is bordered by the Rakitnica in the south, the Neretva in the west, Mt Igman in the north-east and Mt Ivan in the north-west. Only at 20 minutes distance of Sarajevo, it is a popular tourist attraction for hiking and skiing. Bjelašnica as a ski resort has good disposition and choice of slopes of all difficulties. Show conditions tend to be good even for some off-piste. The lifts are reasonably good, although the concentration of drag lifts (T-bar and Poma) makes the place less favorable for snowboarders. Unfortunately I've never seen all of the lifts operational simultaneously and they've never taken me to the very hilltop of Bjelašnica. Views from the hill are magnificent - unless you look towards the valley station of the lifts. There they unfortunately build horrible French-style mountain city full of huge concrete apartment buildings destroying nature and look of the place. Parking is paid separately. Toilets are scarce. There are plenty of options to rent the requirement on the spot as well as options to eat and drink. Access road is well maintained.
