Next to the greens market to the east you will find the banana/watermelon market and to the west you will find the biggest freshwater fish market in the world and a meat market it is really an amazing place, but I recommend to get there early as it get hot after 800am. Nice greens and fish market. Not the most suitable for foreigners because it is very busy. Here you will find the largest selection of different fresh amazonian fishes. The smell of fish and chlorine is quite intense in this market. The vegetable and fruit stalls do mainly have the common fruits and vegetables available. So this place will not be the spot to find strange exotic fruits, this is more a place where people from Manaus buy their fish...

They have the best prices but you have to arrive very early to get great produce. My aunt said she arrives 05:00 - 05:30 to assure freshness...
