Although I visited during dry season (no waterfalls sadly), the walk down to the caves/falls was beautiful and a great way to hear the sounds of the Amazon. At the bases is a shallow area to wallow in, and you'll walk through a stream that is knee deep at one point. You'll also find caves you can duck into and explore, just please do so quietly as there are birds/bats that rest here and I believe it is illegal to disturb them. (A guide will tell you this) It was truly an experience. Wear good shoes, this trail can be a bit slippery at points and the way up is full of roots so you'll want to protect your feet. (They do offer rubber boots, but you will have to pay to rent and they're not so...

Jungle hiking trail that leads to 2 caves: Maroaga and Judeia. The area is under nature protection and a limit of visitors has been introduced. Therefore, a walk only with a guide at specific times. The trail is only for physically fit people, and children without prams. The terrain can be muddy, so take comfortable shoes that can get dirty, or you can rent wellingtons on site.

It takes up to 2 hours to walk the whole thing, with each cave about 20 minutes. The guide tells not only about the caves, but also about the surrounding nature. I was in November 2023, when the water level was low, so the waterfalls were tiny.

The entrance is paid, but I do not know the prices, because I used a day trip to the nearby waterfalls. Some people complain about restrictions and fees, but in my opinion it keeps the place clean, the walls are not marred (as in the case of the 3 caves near Iracema Falls) and it is not overcrowded.

// Pieszy szlak w jungli, który prowadzi do 2 jaskiń: Maroaga i Judeia. Teren objęto ochroną przyrody i wprowadzono limit odwiedzających. Dlatego spacer wyłącznie z przewodnikiem o konkretnych godzinach.
