Best pastel I've ever eaten! I’m updating this review after returning here for a second time about eight months later. I’m still standing by my initial statement that Pastel Trevo de Bertioga has the best pastels around. It should be noted that they are at least twice the price of pastels you would find in São Paulo at places like Pacaembú stadium or on Avenida Paulista. That being said, the pastéis here are on another level, and, to me, are worth the extra price. Why? The fillings are of higher quality and in larger amounts, and the flavor is exponentially better than ones you get from street vendors. One of my complaints about most pastels is that the filling is at the very bottom, and you eat this huge piece of friedness before you ever get to the good part, which sometimes isn’t all that good. Not so here. The calabresa pastel I had recently was stuffed with just the right amount of a high-quality meat along with sliced tomato and perhaps olives (it was dark and raining and I ate in the car). My traveling companions’s choices were equally great. The pastels are made to order, and the staff was very helpful. There’s limited outdoor seating that is covered. Parking is also limited, but was no problem on my two visits. If you’re driving to the beaches, it should be noted that it’s on the left side of the road, so, depending on traffic, it can be a little difficult to get out and back...

It's a classic from Bertioga that has a shop also in the road to São Sebastião in Boracéia, after passing Bertioga city entrance. The pastel has 30 cm, you can choose the filling and is very diverse. Ask for "caldo de cana" (sugar cane juice). My suggestion, ask it with lime juice too. Perfect...

A qualidade do pastel é ótima. Vale a pena conferir!
