Stupa of Enlightenment — Local services in Sofia City

Even if you are not a buddhist, visiting the Stupa is a must because of the beautiful energy and surrounding nature of this place. It is said that if your wishes are pure and from the bottom of your heart, the Stupa helps them come true... There is information board, please read before to enter and respect. The place is dog-friendly but dog needs to be on a leash at all times at the premises (there is plenty of space outside for a walk without a leash). Adding to my post after a few years: it is disappointing that at this wonderful spiritual place the human negatives took over the spirituality - the Stupa now is fenced and gated with sign of being a private property and working hours 8:00 to 20:00. Forget going there meditating to meet the sunrise... I cannot get it how a spiritual monument that became a reality as a result of the hard work, love and donations of so many people in Bulgaria and abroad and is a national treasure suddenly became someone's private property. It is soooo anti-buddhist. Very calming and relaxing place. The serene surroundings provided a perfect escape from the city life.
