Five-Star Review for NIBI Spa, Kampot, Cambodia
I had the pleasure of visiting NIBI Spa, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its five-star rating! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the owners, Eric and Karine. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is truly above and beyond, and it sets NIBI Spa apart from any other spa experience I've had.
The staff here is not only friendly but also exceptionally skilled. They have been trained by professional massage therapists and undergo ongoing training, which is evident in the incredible massage techniques they offer. As someone who has visited spas my whole life, I can honestly say that I have never experienced such developed and specific massage techniques anywhere else. The four-hand massage is an absolute must. I had the best massage of my life here. Bonus points, you can prebook everything with the owners online. They are really cool.
The ambiance is simply magical. Picture this: you’re in your own private hut, surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds and water, and your journey begins with a delightful foot wash using a salt scrub. It’s these thoughtful touches that make the experience so special. Additionally, if you prefer a scenic route, you can even be picked up by boat along the river—what a unique way to arrive!
Now, let's talk about the food. It’s next level! Everything is healthy, made from local products, and there are plenty of vegan options available. To top it all off, they even serve delicious banana bread after your massage, which is a lovely touch.
The gardens are another highlight. I had the opportunity to meet Nak, the gardener, who tends to the property like it’s a masterpiece. The growth and development of the greenery over the past six years since it opened are simply breathtaking.
A huge congratulations to the entire team at NIBI Spa! This place truly represents the highest class of spa experiences. Thank you for an unforgettable visit! I will...
Read moreA charming Canadian couple, Eric and Karin, made a dream come true and established a little paradise on the bank of the Kampo River. The road is a bit challenging, fifteen minutes in a bouncy tuktuk and then an old ferry that crosses to the other bank of the river, a few minutes' walk on a path (muddy in our case) that winds between rural houses and then you arrive.. Stoic peace and the smell of oils and lemongrass surround you already at the inviting entrance, the green and spacious complex opens the heart and soul. A beautiful location looking the peaceful river, flowers, hammocks and cute sitting areas. There is a wet and dry sauna that overlooks the view and a pool of frozen water that you can jump into when your body reaches a super temperature, you can also go down to swim in the clean river water or go for a boat ride. The bar overlooking the water has a selection of excellent organic dishes, kambucha tea and tropical cocktails. The occasional light rain cooled the steamy heat and added soothing background music. We received perhaps the best message ever and also a big smile and words of comfort . It was worth coming all the way...
Read moreWithin moments of our arrival we found ourselves feeling calm, relaxed and knowing we'd made the right decision to spend a day at Nibi Spa. We'd been greeted by one of the owners and shown the expansive and shaded grounds as well as given suggestions on how to use the Sauna, Steam Room and Cold Plunge pool.
We chose our massages and were given a short form to fill out as to how much pressure we preferred and if we had any trouble areas. Very professional - in fact something I've not come across even in US spas. We also decided to get our massages a little later after we partook of the Thermal Experience.
I must admit the massage (90 minute Classic) was so relaxing I fell asleep toward the end - a miracle as I'm quite high strung! We ended up spending five hours there as my wife got a facial while I did another cycle of the sauna, steam and cold plunge.
It was my wife's birthday and as we were leaving she said she wished birthdays came once a month. I told her we'd see what we could do about that! A great experience and one we'll repeat well before her...
