The Win-Win Memorial (Khmer: វិមានឈ្នះឈ្នះ, Vĭméan Chhneăh Chhneăh [ʋimiən cʰnĕəh cʰnĕəh]) is a monument that marks the end of civil wars in Cambodia. It was inaugurated on 31 December 2018 by Prime Minister Hun Sen to mark the end of the civil war 20 years ago. The monument stands on a 8 hectare plaza with eight pools, various sculptures, and the base is 117 meters featuring bas-reliefs depicting the journey to peace. It cost $12 million and was designed in a modernist Khmer style architecture.

It serves also as a museum for future Cambodians to have clear knowledge of the Kingdom’s history. The museum houses important documents including research materials and exhibits that portray the deeds of Samdach Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, demonstrating the process of carrying out the historic Win-Win policy; peacefully reintegrating the Khmer Rouge.

A Win-Win situation is not about compromising, but more the arrival of an agreement where the parties each take a step back for the betterment of the country ending the wars to promote national unity and jointly strive towards economic development. Amnesty was granted to the motley crew of Khmer Rouge commanders lurking across the Thai border; the war ended.

On the 8-hectare plot of land where the monument stands, are eight ponds, monumental sculptures, and a 117 meters long wall featuring bas-reliefs depicting the journey to peace. The park is designed such that people could visit leisurely for relaxation and joy. Trees and various plants in the park add ambience to what the monument symbolises.

The Win-Win Memorial was built to educate the citizens of every generations; for all be made aware of Cambodia’s true history and be reminded of Cambodia’s struggle against the insurgency to attain peace.

The Memorial is open to public. More than three million tourists had visited the Win-Win Memorial since it was inaugurated in December 2018.

The structure of the building is designed with a pentagon-shaped base to represent Prime Minister Hun Sen’s “DIFID” strategy, which stands for “Divide, Isolate, Finish, Integrate and Development”.

The 33m high triangular monolith above the pentagon represents the three guarantees made to the Khmer Rouge – on life, jobs...

The "Politics of Victory Politics" Memorial, which symbolizes the unity of the nation to end the fires of peace, will be inaugurated on December 29, 2018, and on the 20th anniversary of its closure. Complete the war in Cambodia.

The "win-win" memorial is built on an 8-hectare, 54-meter-high and 36-meter-high area in the Prek Tasek district, in Chroy Changva district, Phnom Penh, in front of the Techo Taek Stadium stadium. In the Lyon Phat Development Area.

The "Politics of Win-Win" memorial was opened on February 25, 2016. The monument was built entirely of Khmer children and built on the theme of Samdech Techo Hun Sen's win-win policy.

The historic monument of Cambodia is built with three main meanings: The three-dimensional monument stands for three key policies that lead to successful win-win politics: (1) physical and life assurance, second, career and occupational security; (2) guaranteeing the ownership and property of both real estate and real estate); The five-dimensional monument represents the DIFID strategy (isolation, dissolution, integration and development), the dissolution strategy of the Khmer Rouge's political and military organizations, and the third. The seven-dimensional monument represents the key to successful win-win politics.

Next to the mansion are two carved inscriptions. The first panel shows the victory-winning policy of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which made the whole country enjoy complete peace, unity and territorial unity since the end of 1998. What it means to build a win-win monument to inscribe and embody all the symbols, exhibits and achievements that are remembered and lessons for future generations.

The second panel shows the lowering of the foundation of the win-win monument, the name of the people who built the preserve, and the appeals of the...

The first time I visited this Win-Win Memorial (Vïméan Chhneäh Chhneäh), was on 19 December 2019. It is located in Kandal Province, around 25 km (45 minutes drive) from Phnom Penh down town to the north direction. This iconic monument can be reached via National Road No. 6 (Phnom Penh - Siem Reap).

It is located just opposite of Morodok Techo National Stadium (Morodok Techo National Sports Complex) which was inaugurated (handed over ceremony) on 12 September 2021.

This Morodok National Stadium will be used for SEA GAMES 2023, when Cambodia host the biggest Southeast Asian nations Sporting Event.

Back to Win-Win Memorial Monument, along the outside wall, you can see various sculptures and reliefs depicting the journey of Cambodian people to peace, after the long internal political conflict among factions.

Inside the main building, you can see sculptures and relics and pictures of national Cambodian leadership. Students and researcher can use this monument as one of medias to learn the history of Cambodia.

When today I revisited this monument, I saw many people with their family or their lover gathered on the roadside under the lush green trees having their lunch, while many trucks, cars and motorcycle passing by. Some parts of the road, particularly starting from the Win-Win Memorial Monument section, was under rehabilitation. Dust floating and flying in the air, everywhere.

I took some pictures surrounding this iconic monument - not the picture of the monument itself - which can help you imagine of how the real daily life of our Cambodian brothers and sisters. They are full of joy and enjoy their life.

No doubt, in the future, this monument will become one of the tourist attractions in Cambodia, especially when the surrounding infrastructures is completed and...
