Too many hidden gems which make you easily to missed some of the store. I was looking for food and always feel not so many options to eat like Aeon 2 until one day we decided to walk everywhere which kind of exhausted because this mall is huge and surprisingly found a few more restaurants but because of their hidden location makes them can’t reach out the audience and no customer. It located at other gate but just those gates nobody parking so makes them miss lots of opportunities to standout. Aeon food court on the ground so messy and too crowded. They don’t make a better system for the customer to stand in line to give a receipt to the people in the kitchen and everyone just push each other around because of selfishness and if this issue keeps continuing one day people will end up in a fight. The manager of this mall should prepare a better system for customers convenience neither their kitchen staff. Better system will lead some customers to behave not just come outside to the world and no manner at all. I normally only eat at the restaurant upstairs but wanted to try Aeon food because they seem to look not bad but I get the worst experience. I get push by other people and people in the kitchen just keep putting me in a Q and only take other people tickets who came after me. When I ask they only respond wait and I wait until my order sold out and ask me to change. This really makes me...
Read moreI have a decidedly mixed reaction to AEON 3.
It is certainly the least crowded of the 3 AEONs of Phnom Penh, it shares most of the same shops and restaurants, it has plenty of walking space, including the SkyWalk, a dedicated walking/exercise path. It is remote enough that the current surroundings are fields and wetlands.
On the downside, the food court inside AEON Supermarket is a major letdown. Selection is greatly reduced from the other AEONs.
The cinema is also a disappointment with fewer films (probably due to fewer customers).
One other quibble. Parking is huge, spacious and general uncrowded. Nonetheless, there is always a bottleneck at the exit due to several lanes converging awkwardly. It leads to uncomfortable "who goes first" quandaries that are completely unnecessary.
Perhaps, over time, AEON 3 will catch on and catch up with the other AEON family members but it has not happened yet.
Pro Tip: Eating at a restaurant in any AEON is quite pricey. Directly across the street from the mall are a series of street food vendors with excellent views of Phnom Penh skyscrapers seen across the foreground wetland areas. Beautiful view, reasonable prices, delicious food.
Take a date or business partner to eat in AEON but go with friends and family outside AEON. That would be my...
Read moreBest Aeon mall so far. They're still opening more stores so not everything is open right now. They have little 3D shows in a big circular room. If you show a receipt spending $10 anywhere in the mall, it's free entry. They have some options for little kids and adults. Our kid loved the bee musical. Nice teenagers running the shows as well, we loved it.
The Kids Park at this location is beyond fun. A velcro wall, various games and toys, really fun slides. I think my husband and I had more fun chasing our kid around than any indoor kids park we've ever been to. They do need to operate some more of the toys though. Not everything is working, maybe it's under maintenance.
Best part of this mall is there is PLENTY of seating spaces all over. They really improved on this for Aeon 3. Nice little areas to rest just about everywhere. Which is needed because the place is huge! It also has a walking/running track upstairs. Very smart!
Lovely clean decor. It almost feels like a fancy airport! Highly recommend. It's further for us to get here but worth it for...
