If you read floating market please don't think there will be some boats drifting my and you can buy something. You will drive out of town for about one hour to very remote "harbour". You will get on a small boat and go through a canal out one the lake. You will pass trough a small villages build by the canal. Houses are on very high post and approximately 2000 people life here. You see a school and a Tempel. The living conditions are ....,well.... very,very poor. It was for us interesting to see, but you need to be prepared for it. On the lake there are 5 or 6 different swimming markets. I would not say it's a good "shopping" place, but that's always in the eye of the beholder. Keep in mind the trip will cost you minimum 20 US, and most likely they will kind of try to make you to by something in order to support them.... That's up to you.
