Koh Han — Local services in Stung Treng

Did a kayak trip here in Mid-December 2016 through Mekong Bird Resort. The flooded forest is magical! Many big trees with some birds to see. Not sure how typical birdwatchers would rate this place, but I like it. We saw some Red-breasted Parakeets, one even perched on a tree branch a few meters atop of us. Of course, parakeets are common, but you get a different feeling seeing them in the wild. Three or four pairs of woodpeckers too, but they were too far above and we couldn't tell which species. We also saw a pair of Eurasian Lapwings. On the way back, we saw hundreds of egrets mixed with spoonbills roosting on a few trees.
