Read moreBow Lake Viewpoint is absolutely amazing and well worth the stop! We visited in May, and while the lake was still frozen, the scenery was breathtaking. The snow-covered peaks reflecting off the icy surface created a peaceful, postcard-perfect view.
Bow Lake is located along the Icefields Parkway, about 30 minutes from Lake Louise, and technically lies within Banff National Park (not Jasper), though it’s often visited on the way to Jasper.
The drive itself is stunning, and this viewpoint is one of the many must-see stops along the way.
Even though we couldn’t see the lake’s turquoise color due to the ice, the dramatic mountain backdrop made it totally worth the visit. There’s also a short trail near the lake if you want to stretch your legs and take in more of the surroundings.
