We have been playing at Springbank Links for the last 5 years and couldn't be happier with the experience. Windmill has been investing heavily in upgrades to the course which have dramatically improved the player experience over the last couple of years. All of the staff (proshop, restaurant, marshals and management) are super friendly and are committed to providing a great guest experience. Shout outs to Cam (always remembers our names), Shelby in the restaurant and Tap Shack and Hugh on the first tee for always going the extra mile. Sunday afternoons you can golf with your dog (!!!) and, as you can see in the photo, our dog thinks it is awesome. Even if you aren't a golfer, it is worth the drive to go experience the great food, amazing views, friendly service and great value in the clubhouse restaurant. Live music most Friday evenings is a nice bonus.

Played here recently and the staff was friendly and we tee'd off as planned. This course is not what I would consider a walkers course on the front 9 so be aware of that and be aware of playing from the correct tee box for your game. Front 9 would likely be difficult and not a lot of fun for beginners or high hdcp players. Many elevation changes. Back 9 was more traditional and friendlier to miss hits off the tee box. Overall the course was in good condition. The greens looked a little rough in spots but for the most part putted true and quick. One really good thing here is all the signage on this course. Didn't get lost once on the winding cart path on the front and plenty of tips for distances to penalty areas.

We were so lucky to have picked Springbank as our wedding venue. Great location for both ceremony and reception, beautiful scenery and an amazing staff. The event planners (Kevin and Jackie) were so accommodating and helpful from day one, and all throughout worked hard to ensure everything was taken care of and that we were happy and comfortable. The chef and catering staff were so attentive and did a great job. Our guests had lots of nice things to say about the venue as well as the food. We couldn’t be happier with our choice, thank you for a wonderful experience!

I am by no means a PGA golfer. But in my recent visit to Springbank I was expecting a little more for my 108 buck green fee and cart. I have golfed at many courses all over North America and never have I paid that much for the fees and the course to be in that kind of shape. As stated in another review there was no gps in the carts to ensure the players ahead were out of range to tee off or shoot to the green. I have also played many other courses with gps in the carts and at a way less fee.

About the tee boxes. I felt like I needed to fab up a Hilti gun and some sort of tee to get my tee into the tee box. Enough said.

The fairways. What fairways.... some holes you could not even tell they are the fairways apart from the rough as they were all dead and dry. Doing a tee shot and hit 200 and roll to 300.... it's like watching the golf ball roll down a ashfault street it rolls so far. Like I said, I am not a good golfer just like to play the game with friends and enjoy.

The greens. Dead patches watched the ball literally bounce when putting and watching it hit dead patches of grass and change patch cause of the patches. Also like putting on concrete. Rolls forever. Never seen greens that bad for that price.

All in all. I would for sure say avoid this place for that price. The conditions were the worst this year and I have played about 15 rounds this year at a different course every time. By far the worst for the most pricey round I have paid...

Right after covid lockdowns.

Springbank Links offers a challenging layout (imo for intermediate to scratch golfers). In my opinion, the course is well-maintained. The tee boxes show the usual wear but are in decent condition and the distances are good for short and long hitters. The greens are also in great condition which makes putting a lot less frustrating. With its layout and well-maintained greens, Springbank Links is a nice experience especially when I get paired with some great randoms.

In addition to its great course conditions, Springbank Links also has nice practice areas. These practice areas provide golfers with the opportunity to well... practice and warm up before heading out onto the course.

The staff at Springbank Links are really friendly and very welcoming. The staff makes me feel valued and taken care of during my rounds. The staff goes above and beyond to create a positive atmosphere for all golfers. Their friendly approach makes players feel comfortable and adds to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

The only reason why I am giving this a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the group ahead of us were a total of 6 people that told the starter/pro shop that 2 of them were only there to ride along. The starter suspected that those 2 extras would end up playing a few holes and they did. That made the round go by pretty slow but still a good experience since I was out there...

Summary: I would return to the course if it was priced in the $60-$70 range with cart, definitely not worth the $105 weekend rate in current conditions.

Course layout and design is awesome, definitely unique. However, for the price paid I was expecting the conditions to be much better. Lots of dead grass and hard ground to be found throughout the tee boxes, fairways, rough and even on most greens. Above this, upon check-in I inquired at the clubhouse about a demo driver. The staff there was good enough to let me take one out, but it wasn't until after I checked over my receipt to find that they charged me a $10 rental fee for the demo club, never have I ever paid to demo a club at a course. Lastly, once again for the price paid, no GPS in the golf carts is disappointing. There are many blind tee shots and second shots on the front 9, making it a bit dangerous considering there is no way to tell if the group in front of you has moved on or not. We found ourselves constantly driving up and down the fairway to check if the group ahead was complete. Typically this is avoided by a good cart GPS system which indicates the location of carts in front of you. This can be found at many public courses with lower green fees...
