Overall: Nice quick stop. Paid parking. Public washrooms.

You almost feel like you are driving the wrong way as you head through a quiet residential neighbourhood to reach the suspension bridge. The suspension bridge is the only attraction at this spot, once you reach the end of the bridge it is quite obvious you are not supposed to wander around (private property / no trespassing signs). The bridge itself is interesting and there really isn't much sway on a calm day with few people. Overall you might find yourself spending 5-10 minutes here since the only thing to do is walk across the bridge and immediately head back. It would be nice to see more about the history of the area and suspension bridge. Something to help make this more than a quick pit stop.

There is quite a bit of parking, including RV parking. You are supposed to pay for parking here, but you might not be here long enough for it to matter. There are public washrooms available here.

I think this is worth a quick stop to walk across but only if you're headed this way for something else (like the Hoodoo's). If you go to see just the suspension bridge you may end up disappointed. I'm not happy that Drumheller is treating tourists as dollar signs with charging for parking, and the poorly developed site here is a good example of that. There should be a lot more here to help celebrate the history of the area. Instead it's just a walk across the bridge, which while interesting (especially on a windy day) deserves much more respect from the town of Drumheller than...

The Star Mine Suspension Bridge in Drumheller stands as a testament to the area's rich mining history. This remarkable bridge, originally built for coal miners in the early 20th century, now serves as a fascinating historical landmark and a scenic viewpoint for visitors.

As you step onto the bridge, you're greeted with a slight sway that adds to the thrill of the experience. The view from the bridge is stunning, offering a unique perspective of the Red Deer River and the surrounding badlands. It is what they say it is. A suspension bridge that you can walk across the river on. I was hoping for some trails on the other side to go off and hike on. I took a left after I got off the bridge and eventually ran into a fence with a no trespassing sign but there was a spot that looked like people have ignored this. I went back to the bridge and went the other way and followed a trail for a bit along side the river and the fence, I don't know how far this one goes or where it leads too but it looked like it had been frequented by people on ATVs. But yeah, there is a bridge and you can walk across the river on it.

Another free attraction. Short walk over the suspension bridge. A brief description of its history is on the West side. The bridge does wobble a bit and if you are like me, scared of heights and movement, it really isn't too bad. The other side, nothing to see or do, but it is something to do.

A quick stop for a quick walk over the Red Deer river. It's a suspension bridge so be prepared for the movement. Heavy duty suspension and its well maintained by the government. No charge to use it. Lots of parking. A sign explains the bridge's history. Nice stop especially for a family. I wish there was a snack booth there to stop and stay a while, but without one there is no reason to spend more than 15 minutes here. Location is south of Drum, so if you are going to see the Hoodoos, you'll pass right by this place. Pull over and walk over the bridge, it's a great view and you'll burn off a few more calories.
